Deputies are required by state statute to complete as least two hours of emergency driving training each year. Sergeant Patrick Wells is our Departments instructor for Emergency Vehicle Operations or EVO. Our training this year took place at the driving range at the Jay County High School. A road course was set up and Deputies maneuvered through it with their police commission. The main goal of the course is not how fast it can be completed but to not hit any cones. Cones represent people and property.
